suprswitch is a tool that switches your Google account in the tab you're already on. That is all it does. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. It collects nothing and sends nothing to us — we never see your data, because it never leaves your browser.
what suprswitch keeps, and where
So it can do its job, suprswitch remembers a few things in your browser's own extension storage. Nothing here is ever transmitted to suprswitch, its developer, or anyone else:
- — Your settings: the modifier key you choose, the number you start counting accounts from, and the default account you set.
- — Account labels: so the popup can show you people instead of /u/0, /u/1, suprswitch reads the name, email, and profile photo already shown on the Google page you're viewing, and remembers which account number they belong to.
- — A technical hint per site: how each Google app encodes the account in its URL, so a switch lands in the right place.
All of this lives in chrome.storage.sync, your browser's built-in extension storage. If you use Chrome sync, Chrome may sync it across your own devices under your own Google account — the same way it syncs your bookmarks. It is never sent to us.
what we never do
- — We don't collect, transmit, or store your data on any server. We don't run one.
- — No analytics, telemetry, tracking, fingerprinting, or ads.
- — No selling or sharing of your data, ever.
- — No remote code — everything the extension runs ships inside it.
the permissions it asks for
suprswitch requests the minimum it needs, and only works on google.com pages:
- — storage — to remember your settings and labels, in your browser.
- — activeTab — to rewrite the address of the tab you're on when you press the shortcut, so the switch happens in place.
- — webNavigation — to send you to your chosen default account when you type or bookmark a Google address.
- — access to google.com — suprswitch runs only on Google pages and does nothing anywhere else.
you're in control
Everything stays on your device. To erase it, remove suprswitch from your browser — uninstalling clears its stored settings and labels. There is nothing for us to delete on our end, because we never had it.
