# suprswitch

> A free extension for Chrome and Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc, Vivaldi, Comet) and Firefox and Firefox-based browsers (Zen, LibreWolf, Waterfox) that switches between your Google accounts with a keyboard shortcut. Hold a modifier key, press a number, and you land in that account in the same tab in under a second — no avatar menu, no new tab.

suprswitch works on every google.com app (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar, Meet, Gemini, Messages, Maps, and more) by rewriting the account segment of the URL (`/u/<n>` or `authuser=<n>`), so even apps it has never seen just work. It auto-detects each account's name and photo on your device, so you switch by *who* you are — work, personal, a side project — not an index. It is free, needs no account, and collects no data.

## How it works
- Hold your chosen modifier — Alt/Option by default (or Control or Shift) — and press a digit 0–9 to jump straight to that Google account in the current tab, in under a second.
- Or hold the modifier and press the backtick ` (the key above Tab) to open an on-screen switcher and cycle through your accounts like an OS app switcher — hold, tap to move, release to switch — choosing by name and photo.
- Both the popup and the switcher label each account with its name and photo, read on your device.
